15 forests with total area of 32,783㎡ (as of April 1, 2021) are distributed around the Sayama hills except Mikajima and Yamaguchi area. We think conserving forests at the urbanized region around the Sayama hills is also important to protect forest and trsditional village landscape.  Forest No. 12 surrounded by build up area is worse to conserve because it is such an expansive forest that located in the urban area. ■Address: 4-455 Kitanaka, Tokorozawa ■Access: 5 minutes walk from Kitanaka bus stop on the Tokorozawa City Bus line. ■Area of the land: 5,168㎡ ■Acquisition date: June 14, 2010   Forest No. 14 surrounded by build up area is the smallest forest of the 24 but the land itself is valuable place in terms of conserving the forest and land condition. ■Address: 3-6-12 Kitano, Tokorozawa ■Access: 10 minutes walk from Tokorozawa Greenhill bus stop on the Seibu Bus line. ■Area of the land: 336㎡ ■Acquisition date: January 27, 2011    Forest No. 17 is located at the river side which is the boarder of Tokyo Metropolis and Saitama Prefecture. ■Address: 5-28-21 Akitsu-machi, Higashi-murayama ■Access: 10 minutes walk from Akitsu Station on the Seibu Railway Ilebukuro line. ■Area of the land: 1,767㎡ ■Acquisition date: May 28, 2012    ■Address: 3-6-13 Kitano, Tokorozawa ■Access: 15 minutes walk from Wakasa 4chome bus stop on the Tokorozawa City Bus line. ■Area of the land: 587㎡ ■Acquisition date: October 21, 2014   Forest No. 40 is the first trust land that we have taken at City of Higashiyamato, Tokyo Metropolis The forest is located at the south side of Lake Tama and many of cycle paths and nature trails are developed around this area. ■Address: 2-1923-1 Imokubo, Higashiyamato-shi ■Access: 10 minutes walk from Ohashi bus stop on the Seibu Bus line. ■Area of the land: 2,543㎡ ■Acquisition date: September 7, 2014   The forest area No. 42 is closed due to no access road to its destination. ■Address: Kitano, Tokorozawa ■Area of the land: 351㎡ ■Acquisition date: October 23, 2017   The forest area is located near the central area of Kotesashi region and direct distance in straight line from Kotesashi station is approx. 700m.
